Il
restait un coin de Paradis, je l'ai trouvé dans les Corbières,
sur le fameux terroir de Boutenac.
C'est en 1997 que l'aventure a commencé.
Fascinée par ce merveilleux domaine de 40 hectares, j¹ai eu le
privilège de pouvoir en devenir la propriétaire. Ce ne fut pas
une vente banale, mais plutôt une transmission : celle d¹une
femme - propriétaire par sa famille depuis plus de deux siècles
- à une autre femme.
Après, tout est allé très vite : modernisation de la cave,
installation de nouvelles cuves, et amélioration du matériel de
culture.
L'alliance de la modernité, des méthodes traditionnelles et du
Terroir de Boutenac ont fait le reste : les vignes du Château La
Pujade donnent un vin personnel, authentique et racé ; complexe
au nez, volumineux en bouche, bien structuré, il offre un large
registre allant des épices aux fruits rouges.
Je suis heureuse de pouvoir vous présenter ce vin, résultat d¹une
vraie passion. |

A
small corner of Paradise still exists ; I found it in the Corbières,
in the famous Boutenac vineyards.
My adventure began in 1997. Fascinated by this fabulous 100-acre
estate, I had the incredible honour of becoming its owner. This
was no ordinary sale, more the handing over of a historic property
from the woman whose family had owned it for over two hundred
years, to another woman!
The last few years have gone by in a flash : the winery was
modernised, new tanks installed, the farming equipment renewed...
The combination of these modern facilities with the Boutenac soil
and micro-climate, and our careful respect for traditional
wine-making methods has done the rest : the Château La Pujade
vines give highly individual wines, both aristocratic and
authentic.
With a firm structure and rich in extract, they have a
sophisticated bouquet with aromas running from spice to soft
fruit. They are well-rounded and full on the palate.
I am delighted to share these wines with you today as they are the
culmination of a passionate affair between a woman and a vineyard. |
